Think of a retreat as a gift to yourself
- a way to step aside from everyday concerns to relax and care for your soul

The Purpose of Spiritual Retreat
"Why do we go on retreat?
There are three reasons, the three R’s:
Return, Rest, and Remember.
These are the purpose of spiritual retreat.

Return is our returning to Essence,
to our own true nature,
to that part of us that does feel its kinship with all things.

The second of the R’s is Rest.

The third of the R’s that are the purpose of spiritual retreat is to Remember. And that is to remember what we’re doing here on planet earth."

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D.
