Meet Jack "Madjac" Bauman

When Jack decided teaching school wasn't for him, he went to work for the Chicago & Northwestern RR, the company whose trains he had admired on a daily basis since he was a toddler.  The C&NW later became a part of the Union Pacific and Jack retired after 32 years with the companies.

Jack is also an accomplished banjo picker, choosing that instrument over the piano because the sound seemed to fit better with his imagery of trains.

Jack now divides his time between Michigan and Arizona, where he continues to paint and is also very active in the local live music scene, playing in his church band, his own band "Grassfire" and weekly jam sessions.

Madjac also expresses his world in abstract art. Below is "Kablooey II"---40" X 50"---acrylic & tempera. Four rear mounts mean that Kablooey II can be hung in any orientation, or rearranged at will, an ever changing conversation piece.
