Every Saturday, the public are welcome to visit a real working gold mine! Take the Primitive Road toward Oatman, (east where Silver Creek road meets the Parkway.) Drive till you see the adobe house on the hill to your right - the mine sign and turn off is on the right just past the house. Make sure you put some money in the miner's tip jar!

Nov. 13, National Public Lands Day will be held at the Colorado River Nature Center, with booths from Arizona Game and Fish and BLM. There will be guest speakers and a clean-up will take place.
